quite a few may find it more of a typical masala Bollywood movie rather than a Hollywood movie....whilst i agree to it to some extent, i strongly believe it has all d ingredients to succeed across d world...
d movie is not abt right against wrong or good v/s evil...its a simple story abt love triumphing against all odds....right from d start it shows how jamal does not give up d love of his life n keeps looking out for her everytime he loses her....
its backed up by some gr8 acting right from d kid actors to finally dev patel / frieda pinto / anil kapoor n yes to large extent by some great music of A R Rehman n beautiful cinematography....
d movie is such nicely paced tht u dont feel like stoppin once d movie has started n u wanna see whats thrown at you in d next shot...
a couple of scenes come to ur mind easily when u r thru watching....d one where little jamal jumps in a pool of shit jus to get an autograph of big b.....shows what fan following is really in india n why Big B is still God for most Indians...next one which i wanna highlight is d one where jamal asks for Rs. 50 from his master n says..kya karoon..professional hoon na....d best part here i felt was d spontaneiety with which he says....ya d scene before this where he asks...latika mera saath dance karegi na...
d film had its share of controversies where ppl felt it was portraying d wrong side of india to d whole world....i somehow feel rather than complainin, its in our hands how v wanna improve d standards in india....slums r very much a part of india n so r d rest of things which have been shown...if u wanna look on d other side of so called real india n believe in 'reel india' shown in Yash Chopra / Karan Johar etc movies...its entirely your choice.....heartiest congrats to d full crew of the team for winning various awards all over d world including Oscars...u all have indeed made Mumbai n India Proud....Jai Ho !!!
It really was destiny !!!
